Wordless Wednesdays - 3 Day Weekend!!

Sorry for the lateness of the post...I had most of these pics on my phone and for some reason it didn't want to cooperate with uploading them. Two online chats and a phone call to Sprint later, we're back in business.

But, since we were delayed, I get to share big news from tonight. We had dinner at Andrea's and afterwards Dylan went upstairs. He headed to the bathroom and told me he needed to poop. He actually did this a few times this past weekend, but he had already gone each time. He hadn't gone yet, so I asked him if he wanted to sit on the toilet, he said yes, and he successfully pooped in the toilet!!! Guess I might have to move up my mental time frame for when we're going to kick it with potty training!!

We had a very full and fun 3 day weekend! Spent a lot of great time at the Morris household and got ready to head out for our ski trip tomorrow. Sunday, Uncle Billy made us pancakes at his house! Monday, we went to watch a volleyball tournament with Felicia and her girls, ate lunch at the Crayola Cafe, visited Beth, Josh and Baby Collin in the afternoon and had dinner with Mindy (Zach's mentor teacher and good friend). It was a busy weekend, but we had a great time!

Ready to ski in my Dora helmet!

Wordless Wednesdays - Happy Birthday, Maggie!!!

Happy 1st birthday, Maggie!!! I love the way your smile lights up a room! I love that you know what you want, when you want it and aren't hesitant to tell the rest of us!! I love how much Dylan lights up when he sees you and always want to hug and kiss you (and I love that you let him!). I love that you are becoming your own individual...and are so different from your big sister and cousin! I love your hugs, your kisses, your dancing...and you!!!!

Also notice that Aunt Nicki came to visit for Maggie's b-day (and to help Ella celebrate a week late!). We had a great time with her and can't wait to see her again!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

A little surprise bonus post for all of you out there that still check the blog on non-Wednesdays :) Here's a pic of D last night eating the cupcake I brought him home from work (can you tell the kid likes cupcakes?!). He's wearing his very cute "The Ladies Love Me" shirt that my friend Felicia got him. And in good news, it's a bit on the big side so he'll be able to wear it again next year! I've got some fun plans on how I'm going to get caught up blogging, so check back often...and of course tomorrow for the Wordless Wednesdays - Happy Birthday, Maggie edition!!!

Wordless Wednesdays - Happy Birthday, Ella!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Ella!!!!! I've loved you since the second I found out about you and love you more every day! You amaze me with your sweetness, intelligence and how great of a big cousin/sister you are. You make me smile every time I see you and I can't imagine a better first niece. I love you more than anything and can't wait to see the incredible person you become. I love you!!!

Pool time for Ella's birthday :)

Opening presents...she very sweetly let Dylan help (and you'll note that the Hawks are winning a b-ball game in the background!)

Think these kiddos like cupcakes??
Ella and I went on a special adventure, just the two of us, to Build A Bear. We had a great time and her new bear "Ella Bella Bear" is very cute!

D got Ella balloons for her birthday including one that when you hit it, it plays sounds. They had a great time playing with them!!

Wordless Wednesdays - From Sand to Snow!!

Check out D's 22 month pic! Straight from the beaches of Dorado, Puerto Rico. Note the 22 month sand castles that Aunt Nicki built :) We had a great trip, although getting home was an adventure...we knew the snow was coming, so we changed to a super early flight. After traffic delays, wrong airports (who knew that San Juan had 2 airports...apparently not me!), and annoying rental car delays, Nicki and Toni ended up missing the flight. Luckily, D was great on the plane, and Nicki and Toni were able to catch one that left a few minutes later and flew through Miami. D and I thought we were golden and that everything was going to end up perfectly...until they cancelled our flight from Chicago to KC a few minutes before it was supposed to leave. So D and I are stuck in Chicago until Friday at the earliest...we have no clothes, but we do have 2 feet of snow. Luckily, Nicki and Chris are excellent hosts and we are surviving! More pics and stories from the trip later!!!

Might be one of my new faves!!!
From smashing sand castles (one of D's favorite things!)...To smashing "snow castles"!!!

Good thing we don't have a flight to catch...I'm guessing it might take a while to get Nicki's car out!!!
