Star of the Week!!!

Every week, one of the kiddos at D's preschool is the star of the week.  Dylan gets that honor this week and couldn't be more excited!  He got to hold the flag for the pledge of allegiance and gets to be the line leader all week (apparently a very big deal in the world of a 3 year old!)  We brought in treats for the whole class today as well!  Each star fills out a survey and then brings in pictures to share with the class...you are supposed to bring in 4-5...I managed to make do with 8 :)

In case you can't read it very well:

I have 2 people in my family.
When I grow up I want to be: soccer player
I am special because: of my mommy (yes, this answer had me tearing up!)

We had an amazing time in NYC for Thanksgiving!!  It was so great to get to spend so much quality time with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt NiNi and Uncle Chris!  I love seeing the bond between Dylan and all of them!  He loved his morning breakfasts (Dunkin' Donuts with Aunt NiNi) his boys' nights (hanging with Grandpa and Uncle Chris) and carriage rides and park fun with Grandma!  He also LOVED riding the subway and wanted to take it everywhere (even when it wasn't convenient!)  Many more pics to come, but I'll leave you with this group shot as a teaser!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!  I am very thankful to have so many friends and family out there who care so much about Dylan and me!  Words can't express how thankful and lucky I know I am!

How to Cook a Turkey by Dylan:
You buy it at the store.  Then wash it with water and soap.  Put it in the oven for 15 minutes.  Then eat it, gobble it right up.  Then you can play!

Here's Dylan singing the Turkey Song to the turkeys at Deanna Rose...
"A turkey is a funny bird, his head goes wobble, wobble...
And all he knows is just one word, it's gobble, gobble, gobble!"

Wednesday Weekly Review - Picture Catch Up!!!

Not surprisingly, D and I have been keeping very busy!!  Here's what's been going on over the last few weeks!

Always one of D's faves...driving range with Papa :)

We had a great Halloween weekend!  We went to the zoo with the Franks family!  We had a great time carving/painting pumpkins!  Andrea and I ran in a 5K and the kiddos ran in their first ever race!  They were SO proud of themselves!  Got real race bibs and t-shirts and loved the competition!  D asks me all the time when we get to do another race!  The kiddos are getting so old!  They loved trick or treating and didn't want us to go to the doors with them...they liked doing it all by themselves!

A few weeks ago, Papa called me and suggested taking Dylan to the par 3 course to enjoy the beautiful weather.  Dylan was SO excited when I picked him up early from school.  He played all 9 holes along with Papa while I caddied!

Two weeks ago, we went to Neoga, Illinois for a little family reunion with Zach's grandparents.  D and I drove to St. Louis on Friday morning and hit up the children's museum there.  The museum was AWESOME and we had a great time!  We picked Aunt NiNi up from the airport and finished our drive.  The weekend was great!  We had so much fun getting to see all the family!  It's an annual tradition I hope we continue!

Last week, Kristen, Grant, Dylan and I went over to Beth and Collin's house for dinner and some play time!  The kiddos had so much fun playing with each other!  It's so fun watching them get older and really start to interact!

The 3 boys!!  One of my new favorite pics!!

Dylan and Ella the little monkeys on the "spider web"

Fun at the indoor pool! :)

Making dumplings with Papa :)

Last Monday, we took D bowling for the first time!!  They have come a long way from the blow up bumper guards they had when I was a kid!  Now, they are automatic and you can set what bowlers have them and which ones don't!  D loved bowling...and only got the ball stuck in the middle of the lane once because he didn't throw it hard enough!

Andie doing the turkey dance after I bowled my first ever turkey!!
