Gobble Gobble from NYC

Dylan and I headed to NYC for Thanksgiving!!!  We had a GREAT time and loved getting to spend so much time with family.  Both of Uncle Chris' sisters were there and D and I had SO much fun getting to play with them.  Grandma and Grandpa also flew in from Chicago, and it was so nice to get to spend Thanksgiving with the whole group!

Even though we flew on the "worst" travel day of the year and they were threatening the "worst" snowstorm ever, we made it to NYC without a problem and were only delayed about an hour!

On Thursday morning, we decided to go check out the balloons for the Macy's parade.  Chris works with somebody who lives on the street where they blow up the balloons, so we were able to get a pass and get really close to them.  It was a ton of fun and definitely the best way to "attend" the parade!!

watching the parade on tv when we got home!

playing jenga and the iPad with Kimmie!

Yummy giant sucker from Uncle Chris :)

A favorite at the Roberts residence...ping pong / bowling / cups / baseball :)

Christmas tree fun!!

Subway!!

Annual carriage ride with Grandma...our horse's name was Dream and D was pumped to feed him carrots :)

Shake Shack!!

Hot chocolate with Lindsay!

Toni, Nicki and I went to Kinky Boots on Friday night...it was FABULOUS!!  One of my new favorite shows, and I would highly recommend!!

ping pong with Grandma and Grandpa :)

On Saturday, we decided to get touristy again and went on a boat tour to see the Statue of Liberty.  I've never done it before and it was mesmerizing!  It would've been slightly better had it been a bit (or a lot) warmer, but it was fantastic!  D was really impressed as well!!

On the "1" train in his "1" subway shirt!

More hot chocolate...might be our winter theme!

D loved watching the wake of the boat!

D and Uncle Chris...they have so much fun together!  And were even dressed alike for this pic :)

We flew back home through Chicago...so of course we had to get Garrett's popcorn and a pretzel dog :)

D was delightful on the plane...the kid loves candy canes!

I think we might have worn him out :)

A special thanks to Aunt NiNi and Uncle Chris!!  They were FANTASTIC hosts (as always)...they make us feel so welcome and comfortable in their home.  They hosted a fabulous turkey dinner and we couldn't be more thankful to call them our family.  We can't wait for next year's celebration to include Baby Gertie!!
