Let's go to the Zoo!!!

You will note, I didn't bother to have Wednesday in the title of the post this week :)  This past weekend, we had a great time hanging in KC.  We headed to the zoo on Saturday to enjoy some slightly cooler weather.  On Sunday, D and I went to Deanna Rose and then the pool in the afternoon.  It was a great weekend with lots of fun family time.

A special Happy 37th Anniversary to Namma and Papa!  And happy birthday to Brigid!!  She and Will came over for Sunday night dinner and we have some cute pics, but I haven't had a chance to upload them yet!  Finally, congrats to the Turner family on the arrival of Baby Cameron!!!  I can't wait to hold the little guy!!

Yes, the kids were more interested in the drain than the sea lions :)

Wednesday Weekly Review - Slacker Mommy!!!

I know, I know...this is becoming a bad habit!  But, I've had a lot going on, people!  D stayed home with Papa on Monday and they had a great day capped off by an afternoon at the pool where I joined them after work.  The pool was pretty much empty and D decided he wanted to go off the diving board!  They wouldn't let him wear his floaties but they told him we could catch him.  D didn't hesitate at all and loved jumping off the diving board!  When I asked him if he was scared he said, "No, because I knew my Papa would catch me!"  He is anxiously waiting going back to the pool this weekend!

Practicing jumping off the side into the deep end!

No hesitation!!

We spent this past weekend in NYC having a wonderful time with NiNi and Chris!!!  We took a million great pics and I promise to get those, California and All Star game up soon!!!

Wednesday Weekly Review - I'd Rather Be Golfing!!

Yes, I am more than aware that once again Wednesday Weekly Review is coming on a Thursday...but hey, I still haven't missed a week, yet :)

Last weekend, we went to Iowa for the annual father/daughter golf tourney.  It was surprisingly cool (in the 60s when we started) and we had a great time.  I struggled a bit on the front nine (turns out golfing 1-2 times a year isn't enough), but we actually shot very well on the back nine!

Saturday night, my mom and dad took Dylan to play his first ever real hole of golf.  I cannot even begin to tell you how excited he was (and for those of you who are really interested, the entire thing has been captured on video as well).  Dylan did great and had an absolute blast!!!

Finally, here are some pics from the lake weekend.  As I mentioned, previously, we had an amazing time!!!  D loved it there and it was so nice getting to spend some quality time with the girls (+Grant!).

Erin's favorite new pic...her version of a DD!

Look who's walking!!

Traditional Boone's with Lars :)

D loved watching me water ski...and I was proud that I could still do it!

One of D's favorite things...playing on the pool table!!

Another favorite...cooking with Erin!!
